Hi, who are The Indrid Colds and what instruments do you play?
Thank you for asking using to be a part of your Webzine!
The Indrid Cold's are a three-piece band consisting of Guitar, Upright Bass & Drums.
What is the musical genre of the group?
Extraterrestrial Psychobilly
Why Indrid Colds as a name?
On November 2 1966 a man named Woodrow Derenberger was
driving home when he was spotted by a UFO. A man came out of the vehicle
and walked up to Derenberger and telepathically said his name was
"Indrid Cold".
Derenberger stated that Indrid Cold revealed he was from the planet Lanulos in the galaxy of Genemedes.
Where are you from?
We are based in Los Angeles, California.
When did you start playing like The Indrid Colds?
We have just started the band in 2020 and ready to rock!
Do you have other parallel bands or do you play in other bands?
Yes we have played or play for bands such as-
Mad Dog Cole, The Devil Wrays, The Radarmen, The Caezars.
Influences? (Musicals, literary, cinephiles, etc.)
Musically we are influenced by Psychobilly &
Rockabilly. The Krewmen, Link Wray and Vince Taylor being some of the
main influences. When mixed with our interest of Sci-Fi movies &
Extraterrestrial encounter cases it is a strange concoction.
Do you have something recorded? Tell us what you have. Are you going to record something soon?
Yes we have a EP due very soon which will be available
on Spotify and all other digital platforms. We currently have two songs
available on YouTube 'Visitors From Lanulos' & 'Space Invaders'.
What do your songs talk about?
UFOs, Aliens, Space travel and our general day to day lives!
With whom and where have you played?
We hope to start playing our first shows once the lockdown has ended!
Upcoming events of Indrid Colds?
We have shows booked for the future with Diabolic Events
in LA but we are trying to organise dates as we speak. If you haven't
heard of Diabolic Events before check them out!
Are there good bands in your environment?
There are a number of great new bands currently on the
scene especially in LA. The Grims, The Radarmen, The Deranged to name a
few.
Thank you very much for trusting in Sesión de Plasma webzine, we can add what you want or what we have forgotten.
