Once upon a time in So. Cal. -The Kit Boys-

Disculpenme por usar el español pero es mi idioma vehicular y con el que me explico mejor. 

Conoci a Julian en el 27th Psychobilly Meeting de Pineda de Mar del año 2019, y me hablaron de Radarmen por entonces.

Con el tiempo descubri a The Kit Boys en Youtube y quedé fascinado de su sonido, actitud y estética, totalmente libre, loca y siniestra. 

He aqui, lo que Julian nos a explicado en unas preguntas que hicimos pensando que seguian activos... 

Hi, who are The Kit Boys and what instruments do you play?

The Kit Boys were Jorge on guitar and vocals, David on bass and backup vocals, and

myself, Julian, on drums.

What is the musical style of the group?

Our main target was high speed psychobilly.

Why Kit Boys like a name?

The name derived from a Meteors tune.

Where are you from?

Generally speaking, we were from Southern California. However, we all hailed

from different areas of So. Cal.

When did you start playing like The Kit Boys?

We started The Kit Boys back in February of 2017.

Do you have another parallel bands or do you play in another bands?

We’ve all played in ThrillBillyz before with Jorge being the oldest member amongst the

three of us. David, who currently plays in The Hypnosonics and previously in Mother Parisa

and the Band of Heathens. And myself, Julian, who currently plays in Radarmen and

previously in Cannibal Mad Men and The Bundys.

Influences? 

Our influences ranged from anything to everything. 
Aqui quiero hacer un inciso y es lo que me parece que representa la camiseta de Death
de Jorge, que pues ni nada más ni nada menos una de las mejores bandas de metal que
han existido y que uno de sus directos grabados en 1998 es de gran influencia para mi 
desde que tengo 16 años y lo vi por primera vez en VHS y con el tiempo me compre en 
DVD ese, DEATH, Live in L.A. (Death & Raw).


Do you have something recorded?  
We have one 4-track EP that we recorded, but was never mastered and released. Before that
we had a live set of ours that was recorded a few months after we started Kit Boys as well as a 
couple of other studio recorded singles. 


Are you going to record something soon?
No. Kit Boys are finished. 

What do your songs talk about?
Jorge wrote all the material we had. He mainly seemed to focus on life experiences, our personal
 
interests as a band, and everything else around us.

No. Kit Boys are finished. 


There are good bands of in your environment?

Certainly. The So. Cal psychobilly scene is home to plenty of top talented acts and is always 

bursting with more and more. Some of which you have actually already interviewed.
