¿quienes sois Fightback y que instrumentos tocáis?
Muy
buenas! Pues Fightback somos Burguete a la guitarra, Izquierdo a la
batería y yo (Marc) al bajo y voces.
¿Cuál
es el género musical del grupo?
El
género básicamente es Oi!, pero totalmente influenciado por lo que
se hacia en sus inicios en los 80's. No me gusta casi nada en lo que
se ha convertido el Oi! actualmente, donde a mi forma de ver, ha
perdido casi toda su esencia.
¿Porque
Fightback como nombre?
Buena
pregunta jajaja La verdad que era una canción que teníamos en otro
proyecto de banda que no llegó a prosperar. Ese tema lo recuperamos
para esta banda y se nos ocurrió que podía funcionar como nombre,
así se quedó.
¿De
dónde sois?
Burguete
es de Zaragoza pero afincado en Barcelona desde hace muchísimos años
y Izquierdo y yo somos de Barcelona de toda la vida aunque yo vivo
actualmente en Monistrol de Montserrat.
¿Cuando
empezasteis a tocar como Fightback?
Pues
a principios de este año, así que no mucho tiempo. A pesar de eso,
bastante contentos con la evolución rápida y la cantidad de temas
que hemos podido sacar.
¿Tenéis
otras bandas paralelas o provenís de otras bandas?
Burguete
toca en Asedio actualmente, y anteriormente ha tocado en otras
bandas.
Izquierdo
toco en Street heart.
¿Influencias?
Influencias
musicales muchísimas me paso el dia escuchando música jaja y de
todo tipo. Pero si me refiero a las influencias musicales cercanas a
la banda, serian claramente bandas como 4skins, combat 84, condemned
84, Indecent Expossure, Vicious Rumours...lo que he escuchado desde
que era un crio vamos.
¿Cuáles
son vuestras bandas favoritas?
Las
bandas de Oi! que he puesto en la pregunta anterior entre muchas
otras. Por mi parte también mucho reggae/rocksteady, bandas de metal
como Metallica, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath y demas, punk 77,
britpop...de todo un poco. Ahora estoy enganchado a Muse, no te digo
nada..
Burguete:
Menos en lo de reggae coincido totalmente con Marc, pero añadiría
muuuucho rock&roll. Larga vida a los burning!
A
izquierdo también le tira mucho el rollo hc tipo Negative Approach,
YDL, Cro-Mags...
¿Tenéis
algo grabado?, habladnos de lo que tengáis. ¿Vais a grabar algo
próximamente?
Tenemos
una Demo llamada “football, fights and rock'n'roll” que esta
colgada en nuestro bandcamp y en youtube con 4 temillas. La verdad
que para estar grabado por nosotros mismos con mi ordenador, creo que
ha quedado bastante decente jeje Ahora entramos a un estudio a
grabar lo que seria nuestro primer Lp. Esperemos tenerlo grabado
antes de fin de año para publicarlo a principios del 2020. Así que
en breve tendréis noticias nuestras...

¿De
que hablan vuestras canciones?
Son
canciones con bastante rabia la verdad, así que tocan temas que
queríamos criticar o ponerlos en relieve. Por ejemplo la pedofilia
en No Mercy,
las mentiras de los políticos en Democracy's
lies o el atentado
terrorista de las ramblas en Bcn
17-A. También una
canción dedicada a personas que lamentablemente ya no estan con
nosotros como Fallen
Hero y otra más
“festiva” como Football,
fights and rock'n'roll.
¿Con
quien y donde habéis tocado?. ¿Próximos eventos de Fightback?
Hemos
tocado en 2 conciertos hasta la fecha. El último en Cardedeu con The
Rural Kids como ya sabes y el primero en la Rocksound con Exili y
Reconquesta.
Próximamente
daremos un concierto a modo de fiesta de navidad a finales de
diciembre y para el año que viene tenemos alguna otra cosilla que ya
irá saliendo.
¿Hay
buenas bandas en vuestro entorno?, ¿cuáles?
Como
ya he dicho, a mi personalmente me interesa bastante poco la música
que esta saliendo desde hace unos cuantos años desde “nuestro
entorno”. Hay bandas que tocan muy bien pero para mi han perdido
toda la esencia de lo que era el Oi! de toda la vida. Ni hay la rabia
ni la actitud de antes. Eso si, actitud de ser políticamente
correcto sobra por todos lados.
Dicho
esto, así a modo rápido me gusta mucho como suena Brux por ejemplo
o Reconquesta si hablamos de bandas de hace ya más tiempo. En
Inglaterra los B-Squadron si que me parecen de las pocas bandas que
mantienen el sonido antiguo.

Joseph Losey, afincado en el Reino Unido huyendo
del macartismo, había sido reclamado sin éxito por Michael Carreras para
que dirigiera en el seno de la Hammer. Finalmente, el estadounidense
realizaría para la más famosa productora británica especializada en
terror una cinta de ciencia-ficción con, eso sí más del gusto de Losey,
una fuerte carga social, aún en el tratamiento de algunos temas vistos
más veces en producciones del género.
“Estos son los condenados” (1963),
que en España se estrenaría con retraso (como tantas y tantas en la
dictadura) en 1970, contiene ecos de Orwell, paranoia propia de Guerra
Fría, e incluso encontramos ciertas similitudes de otro hit de la ci-fi
británica, “El pueblo de los malditos” (1960) de Wolf Rilla. Narrada con
un estilo indudablemente autoral y apartándose de los tópicos, el film
nos deja una sensación de desolación, de terror, muy particular.
A resaltar el grupo de pandilleros, conformado por un puñado de rockers
motorizados y liderados por un teddy boy interpretado por Oliver Reed,
que parecen un influencia muy clara para Alex y sus drugos de “La
naranja mecánica” (1971) de Stanley Kubrick.

genero pasa por diferentes estilos, entre ellos el psychobilly,
Punkabilly, Harcore metal, con toques de Ska y rockandroll, Nosotros
decimos powerpsycho si existe…!!!

Astrobilly como nombre?
Es
un juego de paladra que viene de Astro que es una paladra con un
significado de Grandesa, inmensidad e infinita y Billy por que nos
gusta el rock and roll.
Y
tambien por que nos gusto el nombre de una cancion de space cadet.
Pero
nada en especial por el nombre.
¿De
dónde sois?
Somos
del norte de chile, una ciudad ubicada en el desierto de atacama
llamada Antofagasta.

empezasteis a tocar como Astrobilly?
El
6 enero del 2016 fue nuestra primera presentacion en un bar llamado
perla negra.

Hola, recientemente habéis estado de gira por UK y Catalunya. ¿Que os a parecido esta gira en general?. Hola Hector , muchas gracias por tu interés en nuestra musica. Bien como lo señalas estuvimos de gira en Septiembre por UK y Catalunya ; tercera vez en UK , donde tenemos buenos amigos y pudimos realizar 4 conciertos , en Kings Cross , London ; Deptford ; St. Albans y Stoke on Trent ; y por primera vez en Barcelona , donde tocamos 2 veces. Ha sido una gran experiencia en lo musical como en lo personal , y esperamos se repita pronto.
¿Habéis tenido buena aceptación del público en todos los sitios?. ¿En que sitio os habéis sentido mas cómodos o cual de los sitios donde habéis tocado os a gustado mas?
La aceptación del público ha sido realmente muy buena en todos los conciertos , en UK la gente lo pasó bien con nuestro show , considerando que somos una banda que canta en Español , y en Barcelona hubo una excelente conexión con el público (muchos amigos de años).

Nosotros disfrutamos de tocar y sobre todo de que a la gente le guste. Es una comunión muy bonita que me impide elegir un lugar de comodidad en especial , disfrutamos cada lugar por sí.
Habéis aprovechado para tocar canciones de vuestro ultimo disco -Nada Es Por La Eternidad- como “Gato Azul”, “Nación Mapuche” y otras. ¿Porque elegisteis hacer estas canciones y no otras? El año pasado sacamos nuestro cuarto disco y "Gato azul" y "Nacion mapuche" son canciones que representan a cabalidad la intención de nuestra propuesta musical , fusionando el rockabilly con el beat hooligan rock and roll o la velocidad del psycho slap con quiebres de jazz campesino chimpancé. Obviamente que también repasamos los clásicos. Tratamos de hacer un playlist que haga justicia a los 18 años de carrera pero que también muestre cosas nuevas.

Llevabais merchandising por lo que pude ver. ¿Se a vendido bien lo que llevabais?
Muy bien de verdad , creemos que lo más sólido es invertir lo ganado en bienes raíces.

En el primer concierto que disteis en Barcelona se oían rumores de que iba a cantar Victor Bisonte de Oi! The Arrase con vosotros algunas canciones. Yo estaba allí y no le vi cantar. ¿Sabéis porque no cantó finalmente?
Victor es un gran amigo y teníamos la idea de hacer alguna canción, lamentablemente por temas de tiempo y logistica no pudimos hacerlo.
Hicisteis una versión muy fiel del “Because Your Young” de Cock Sparrer. ¿Porque elegisteis hacer esta versión?
A todos nos gusta Cock Sparrer , la adrenalina y la cerveza en la sangre hacen el resto.
Hos teloneó Psycho Tendencies en la segunda fecha que disteis en Catalunya, mas concretamente en Cerdanyola del Vallès a 10 km de Barcelona. ¿Os gustaron?. ¿Les llevaríais de gira por Chile?
Psycho Tendencies es una excelente banda y fue un placer compartir escenario con ellos. Talo como tu bien sabes es chileno y nos conocemos hace 20 años. Sería muy bueno hacer algo con ellos en Chile.

Estuvisteis por UK también. ¿En vuestro paso por allí os telonearon bandas de allí o de donde sea?
Así es , tuvimos la suerte de tocar con bandas muy buenas; Shakin' D.T's ; Death Caps , Schizophonics , Snake Rattlers, entre otras, buenisimas bandas de la escena Psycho-rock-garage británica contemporánea.

Por el momento no tenemos nada pensado aún, nos vamos a dedicar a escribir material para un nuevo disco. Primero disco , después gira.
Y por ultimo, ¿porque os pusisteis Surfin Caramba como nombre del grupo?
Es una larga historia , resumiendola , cuando empezamos la banda era un proyecto recreativo dominical , tocabamos temas surferos instrumentales primitivamente , lo que haciamos bajo los efectos canábicos que era abastecidos por el "Cabro Caramba" , un peaky blinder del barrio Matta. Nos llamabamos por telefono para ensayar y nos preguntabamos: Este Domingo Surfin' Caramba?

We play our own version
of Psychobilly. We incorporate rockabilly of course along with
western, jazz, novelty rock n' roll, and strange breakdowns.
Why
Uhh Random Bunch as a name?
We all wanted to have a unique
name but nothing seemed to fit a description of us. Since we have
strange interests we consider ourselves "random"- unorganized in the things we like and do. We are also a bunch
because we are not an ordinary group. Sometimes we invite people
to play along with us. The "Uhh" replaces the "A"
for A/Uhh Random Bunch and it is what we say when we don't know
the answer to something :)

We are from Eagle Rock, North East Los
Angeles, California, USA.
When
did you start playing like Uhh Random Bunch?
We started
jamming out to George's Psychobilly tunes in August 2012 and we
started playing gigs in December that same year.

Do
you have other parallel bands or do you play in other bands?
I,
George, play lead guitar and sing half the songs for Radarmen. Chuy
plays drums in his own (Ska, Powerviolence, Reggae, Trucha Core, and
Experimental) band called J.J. Suave. They are also from Eagle Rock.
All of us including Julian from Radarmen and Peachy, Psychobilly lady
from LA, jam out once in a while in a project called Rumpus Time.
Chuy is starting to produce and write music for different artists and
rappers.
We
were inspired by many of the obscure psychobilly bands -The Skrunch,
Rockin' Bones, Es Feiv, Scared Stiff, The Meantraitors, and more.
Overall we enjoy all other genres of music. Other influences would
be strange sounds, the supernatural, cognitive behavioral therapy,
science fiction, the subject of God, Pizza, and the past
lives/customs of older generations.We have listed a variety of films
we enjoy and are inspired by-A Bronx Tale, Pan's Labyrinth, The
Shining, The Godfather, Midsommar, The Exorcist, David Lynch's films,
and the old Twilight Zone series.

Some bands we mentioned above
are. Other favorite bands of our's would be early Mad Sin, Sade,
Nervous Norvus, Molchat Doma, The Doors, Jamiroquai, Bauhaus,
Spazz, Infest, Marty Robbins, Los Alegres Del Barranco, and
Vicente Fernandez.
Do
you have something recorded? Tell us what you have. Are you going to
record something soon?
We
have a 5 track demo out there somewhere called the "Voice Memo
Demo" that we recorded ourselves in 2013. It sounded like shit.
We are trying to release an EP by early 2020. We will be using better
equipment this time. Chuy will be engineering and producing it.

do your songs talk about?
Our
songs consist of fables, silly stories, strange stories, life
lessons, and real life accounts.
With
whom and where have you played? Upcoming events of Uhh Random
Bunch?
We have played many small Psychobilly shows and
very legendary backyard gigs in all of Los Angeles County. We barely
came back this year from a 4 year break. We are playing many cool
shows the rest of 2019 and 2020 thanks to promoters Randy of Diabolic
Events, Roman of Uptown Psychos, Misa Third Eye Productions, El
Checko Presents, and Slapaholic Bass Rentals.

The
California, USA Pschobilly scene is always fluctuating. The bands
that we see that are doing well and that sound good are The
Quaranteds, Radarmen, The Vectors, Cursed Bastards, The Autopsies,
and the brand new band THE DERANGED.
We are happy to have played
with bands that had a different sound before or bands that are not
around anymore-The Grims, The Spoofs, The Curs, The Vampz, Volcanik
Rockers, The Daffys, The Dead Ricardos, Tres Muertos, Cigaratz, The
Fossils, Thrillbillyz, Stoneage, The Ripper Roos, and more.

There is much to talk about this genre. It's my favorite genre after horror.
I will start with the movie "Mad Max". I guess there is no one on the planet who has never heard of this movie.
But this movie is not just sci-fi as most know. This movie falls under the category we're talking about right now: post-apocalyptic!!!
These films are specific in that all the stories in this genre are played after a nuclear or other apocalypse. Only the apocalypse is different from the genre.
The difference:
Post-Apocalyptic - actions following a nuclear or other apocalypse.
Apocalypse - actions occurring before or during a given apocalypse.

I started talking about "Mad Max" so let's start with him.

Fist of the North Star is a 1995 American straight-to-video live-action martial arts film based on the Japanese manga of the same name by Buronson and Tetsuo Hara. The film was directed by Tony Randel, who also co-wrote the script with Peter Atkins, and stars Gary Daniels, Costas Mandylor, Chris Penn, Isako Washio and Malcolm McDowell. A Japanese dub of the film was produced by Toei Video which featured the cast of the 1980s anime television series reprising their roles.

The film, which loosely adapts the first story arc of the original manga, centers on Ken (Daniels), the lone master of the "North Star" martial art school, who wanders the post-apocalyptic Earth in search of his nemesis Lord Shin, the man who killed his master and kidnapped his fiancee. Meanwhile, Shin rules as dictator of the city of Southern Cross with his personal army known as the Crossmen, who are given orders to hunt down Kenshiro.

Waterworld is a 1995 American post-apocalyptic science fiction action film directed by Kevin Reynolds and co-written by Peter Rader and David Twohy. It was based on Rader's original 1986 screenplay and stars Kevin Costner, who also produced it with Charles Gordon and John Davis. It was distributed by Universal Pictures.
The setting of the film is in the distant future. Although no exact date was given in the film itself, it has been suggested that it takes place in 2500. The polar ice cap has completely melted, and the sea level has risen over 7,600 m (25,000 feet), covering nearly all of the land. The plot of the film centers on an otherwise nameless antihero, "The Mariner", a drifter who sails the Earth in his trimaran.

In the nuclear-ravaged wasteland of Earth 2087, water is as precious as life itself. An evil cult of pseudooreligious renegades led by Derek (Adam Ant) discovers the existence of the water source and wants control of the town's valuable water supply. As the villagers are no match for Derek's brute military force, they hire mercenaries living in a distant city. That group includes Nitro, Ten Watt and they are led by George Landon. The townspeople and the mercenaries team up to stage a last ditch defense of the town.
